Observe posted speed limits: maximum speed is generally 35 mph, although several road segments have limits of 25 mph. National park roads are not designed for speed. Enjoy the scenery safely.
Watch carefully for animals, especially at dawn and dusk.
Buckle Up! Use of safety belts is required.
NEVER stop in the road. Use established pullouts when observing wildlife, reading maps or taking photographs.
Bicyclists and pedestrians have the right of way. Wait for oncoming traffic to clear before passing bicyclists.
Drive only on established roads, and park only in designated areas.
Watch for rocks or other debris on the roadway.
Report all accidents to a park ranger.
